Halloween 2013
I was a little disappointed in Halloween this year. Our neighborhood has many older, retired couples and not too many families with young kids. Nothing at all like Banks, Oregon. No cars were lining the streets, no noisy teenagers running around making noise, and we didn't even make it through one bag of Costco candy as we only had 15 people come to trick or treat. But on the up side, that meant our boys didn't get bucket loads of candy this year when trick or treating. Silver lining!
Three ninjas: sometimes meditating, sometimes fighting, sometimes picking their nose. Costumes put together from whatever you have on hand is the way to go.
The sweet little ladybug made it out trick or treating for about 15 minutes before the mosquitoes got to her when she and I came home. What a happy face!
Our annual family home evening of pumpkin carving! The boys drew the faces themselves this year but mom still did all the cleaning out of "pumpkin brains" (yes, we have boys) and dad did all the cutting. As we couldn't find our tea lights we had to use birthday candles which lasted long enough for some pictures but then melted quickly. We all had a fun time together and that was the purpose.
Happy Halloween!
